Tournament Rules · PCYSC 2026

Play it
straight.

The rules below govern eligibility, scoring, conduct, dress, and finals procedures. They apply to every bowler in every event.

  1. 01
    Eligibility
Open to all bowlers 21 years old and younger as of August 1, 2026, in good standing.
  2. 02
    Averages
Bowlers use their highest ending verifiable average from the 2025–26 season (21 games or more). Bowlers without an average must bowl in Open Division events. Proof of average must accompany entries or be submitted to the tournament office by start of the tournament.
  3. 03
    Fouls
A deliberate foul results in zero pins for the delivery and no further deliveries in that frame. A second offense results in immediate disqualification.
  4. 04
    Conduct
Profanity, kicking objects in the bowling center, or any undue display of temper leads to immediate disqualification.
  5. 05
    Disqualification
Disqualified bowlers are barred from further participation and forfeit any refund of entry fees.
  6. 06
    Protests
All disputes or protests must be submitted in writing before trophies and scholarships are presented. The decision of the tournament committee is final.
  7. 07
    Dress Code

Dress code is at the discretion of the tournament committee.

    • Not permitted: white undershirts, tank tops, halters, sweatpants, spandex pants or shorts, or hats.
    • Preferred: bowling shirts (no liquor or tobacco logos), sport shirts, blouses, slacks, skirts, or split skirts. Girls may wear shorts.
  8. 08
    Equipment
Any foreign substances on the outside surface of the ball results in immediate disqualification.
  9. 09
    Scoring
Bowlers may write their own scores on recaps and entries — scores are verified and checked. It is the bowler's responsibility to ensure accuracy.
  10. 10
    Finals Check-In
All finalists must be present and checked in 15 minutes before the start of any finals competition. Bowlers or teams not checked in by the start of finals warmup will be replaced by an alternate.
  11. 11
    Award Fees & Scholarships
100% of award fees (scholarships and trophies) are returned. Scholarships earned are deposited into each bowler's USBC SMART Program account.
  12. 12
    All Events
The All Events Champion is determined by total qualifying pins across Singles, Doubles, and Team for each division: Div I (Open 190 & up), Div II (Girls Open), Div III (170–194), Div IV (169 & under).
